Welcome to new board members

The Epagneul Board of Trustees congratulates and thanks its new Chairman/President, Todd Farris of Oklahoma City for accepting and assuming the position to lead the foundation's efforts. Angie Hites of Olney, Illinois will assist the foundation in her new role as Vice Chairwoman/Vice President, with Denine Ackerbauer and Fred Overby continuing repectively as Treasurer and Secretary of the nonprofit corporation. The Board welcomes Kate Winchester and Karin Lee-Fournier as new trustees to fill seats on the foundation board.

The board expresses sincere appreciation to the immediate past chairman, Robert Olson, Jr. who served as chair since the formation of the Foundation. Bob cheerfully stepped up to accept the legal and leadership responsibilities to serve after the untimely death of his close friend, Wallace Huey. After completing his second term as chair, Bob will fill the seat vacated by Angie Hites. During Bob's tenure as Chairman and President, the foundation's assets grew from mere seed money to the amount of the present general fund and separate scholarship fund where the Joyce Smith Scholarship Endowment is held for investment. The educational content ot the foundation web site grew and developed substantially under Bob's leadership, with the dedicated assistance of trustee and web master Linda Rice.

Special appreciation is also expressed to former Trustee Norman Pope for his professional expertise and assistance with completing tax filings, and  updating internal accounting practice, and advice with interfacing with the IRS to keep filings current. Likewise, thanks are due to Randy Meester for his past service as a trustee.

Todd Farris, New Foundation Chair
