Reynald Lefebvre named honorary trustee of the Epagneul Breton Foundation, Inc.

The Epagneul Breton Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of  the Honorable Reynald Lefebvre of Quebec Canada as an honorary trustee. Mr. Lefebvre is a long-time friend of the EB Community in the United States and judged the first UKC sanctioned field trial for the CEB-US held in Armour, South Dakota in April 2003. He is a former recipient of the CEB-US Peter Ward Service Award, which is awarded annually to persons who have provided devoted and unselfish service to CEB-US and the U.S. Epagneul Breton Community.

Mr. Lefebvre is a CEB-US approved Expert Confirmateur since 2015, and is qualified to confirm Epagneul Bretons in France, the United States, and Canada. He has  judged the breed in field work in France, Canada and the United States, and is also an experienced licensed conformation judge who has judged numerous E.B. Specialty Shows and National Elevages.

The Foundation welcomes Mr. Lefebvre and appreciates his involvement and advice in future endeavors of the Foundation.

Conformation clinic and Handler's clinic videos now available online!

The Epagneul Breton Foundation, Inc. provided a grant to sponsor a detailed Conformation Seminar at the CEB-US Conclave in Armour, South Dakota September 15, 2022. The presenter, the Honorable Reynald Lefebvre of Quebec Canada is a CEB-US approved Expert Confirmateur since 2015, and is also an experienced licensed conformation judge who has judged numerous E.B. Specialty Shows and National Elevages and has judged the breed in field work in France, Canada and the United States.  A portion of this educational program which addresses the finer points of Epagneul Breton conformation under the official breed standard is now available online.

The Foundation also provided a stipend to help with production of a handler's seminar sponsored by the Club de l' Epagneul Breton of the United States which was held February 1st. Presenters Sherry Niesar and Jeff Pleskac are both experienced field trial judges. This clinic was a general introduction to UKC Pointing dog Field Trials with the goal to help new competitors get started in UKC Field Trials and feel comfortable doing it.

Long time CEB-US Honorary member and E.B. Foundation Honorary Trustee Jacques François Bordet passed away on January 20, 2023 from a brief battle with cancer at 88 years of age. Bordet was one of the first  two Frenchmen to endorse and vouch for the CEB-US back in France and Europe during the early, formative years of CEB-US as a club. He spent much of his long lifetime as a student, teacher, judge and friend of the Epagneul Breton around the world. When asked to serve as an Advisor and Honorary Trustee of the Epagneul Breton Foundation at its formation, he accepted with delight and responded to any request for educational information or artistic interpretation of the Epagneul Breton which was posted by the foundation.
